Fiat CEO Oliver Francois made the announcement early June, in Milano its intention to transition to a fully electric vehicle lineup by 2030, with efforts beginning in earnest in 2025. Currently, the Stellantis brand only offers the Fiat 500 as a pure electric car. In addition, there is the E-Ducato van. The Panda could be the next pure electric vehicle. Plans for electrification include four platforms for electrified models and more battery factories, with a goal of boosting sales in Europe sharply. Other established automakers committed to selling only electric vehicles by the end of this decade include the likes of Bentley, Jaguar, Lotus, Mini and Volvo, while most other automakers see the transition being completed within the next decade.
