The Total service station in Courbevoie, in the La Défense district, has reopened its doors after three months of renovations. A new feature of this, the busiest outlet in France, is that all the petrol and diesel fuel pumps have been removed to make way for electric charging stations. Six have been installed with charging capacities ranging from 43 kW to 175 kW. Thus, a new Total Energies displayed to the public its new logo for this first 100% electric French station. The choice of the location was not just a matter of chance, but also a symbolic action for the group, whose headquarters are located a few steps from the station.

For a total charge time of 45 minutes, some people fear endless wires in front of the electric stations. When asked about the matter, Philippe Callejon, the marketing services manager, explains: “Most of the charging of an electric vehicle is not done in fast charge. It’s going to be a slow charge either at home, at your office or on the road. There, you will only have 5% of the market to deal with. As for the price, it costs around 20 euros, which allows you to drive between 300 and 400 kilometres. A second service station is also planned
