Although electric cars have revolutionised the car market, they still suffer from a major problem: their batteries. It takes between 20 and 40 minutes at a charging station, and up to 10 hours at home to recharge the batteries. A lot of research has made it possible to significantly reduce the charging time.
A new technology has been developed! The innovative 9-second charging system uses quantum physics to charge all the cells in the battery at once, rather than one by one. The study states that the technology is still at the prototype stage and that there is still a long way to go before it is deployed to the general public. However, the project remains a huge breakthrough.
