Toyota, the global automotive leader, is lagging behind the electric car market. The Japanese brand will launch a new offensive, with the help of its subsidiary Lexus.
Toyota will invest in new batteries and production technologies. The company will also launch a new range of electric vehicles, a concept of which will be presented at the Tokyo Motor Show in October.
Lexus, Toyota’s premium brand, will also switch to electric. The brand will launch its first 100% electric model in 2025, and aims for a complete transition to electric by 2035.
