Information about the next generation of the Mini Electric has finally been revealed.
Three new electric Mini models will be launched by the British company by mid-2024, including the new small Aceman SUV, the third generation Countryman and a brand new Hatch.
The latter, which will be launched in May 2024, is called “Mini Cooper” and will have a new base named “Spotlight EV”, dedicated to the electric powertrain.
The car’s design will typically be Mini, but with a more streamlined look and revised proportions. The “E” version will have a 184 hp engine and a 40 kWh battery, while the “SE” will have a 218 hp engine and a 54 kWh battery, offering a range of approximately 390 km in the WLTP mixed cycle.
The base price is expected to be less than €40,000. Competition for the Mini Electric is found in higher-end models, such as the Peugeot e-208 GT, the Fiat 500e, and models from general brands.
