BMW unveiled long-wheelbase versions of its X1 and iX1 SUVs at the Shanghai Motor Show, designed specifically for the Chinese market.
This change is common for cars destined for China. The BMW electric iX1 has been extended by 11.6 cm, most of which is in the wheelbase which now measures 2802 mm. The total length of the vehicle now reaches 4616 mm.
This modification also had an impact on the rear door and rear seats that differ from the European version, as well as on the addition of a panoramic roof.
The electric version of this SUV also has different digital features, such as a full grille that recalls the aesthetics of the BMW iX flagship. Versions destined for China carry the suffix “Li” behind their name.
