Maserati is to make its return to motorsport and it will be through Formula E, from the 2022-2023 season. The brand will end its decades-long absence from single-seater racing since 1957 and will team up with a yet-to-be-announced team on a model similar to the one that has existed for several years between DS, another Stellantis Group brand, and Techeetah.
The Formula E World Championship is the Holy Grail of electric racing. It is the ideal showcase for the most dynamic and innovative high-performance car brands seeking visibility for their technological prowess and sporting ambitions. Maserati is expected to benefit from sharing technology with DS on the hardware side to prepare for its entry into the championship, but both entities will have their own software solutions and will compete on track.
