Citroën has finally unveiled the battery for its new ë-C3, and it’s good news for fans of the brand! The French automaker has chosen Chinese manufacturer SVOLT to equip its small electric city car.
LFP cells for solid range
The Citroën ë-C3 battery will have a capacity of 44 kWh, which will allow it to reach a range of 320 kilometers according to the WLTP cycle. LFP (lithium-iron-phosphate) cells are known for their stability and longevity. They are also less expensive than traditional lithium-ion cells.
Fast charging for everyday use
The Citroën ë-C3 battery can be charged at a maximum power of 100 kW. This will allow it to go from 20 to 80% in just 26 minutes. This is perfect for everyday use, especially for commuting.
A strategic partnership
Citroën’s choice of SVOLT is an important strategic partnership for the Chinese manufacturer. It will allow it to establish itself in the European market for electric batteries.
