EQC, a 4×4 that’s 100% electric, yet unmistakably Mercedes-Benz. It’s an electrification of the previous GLC, with very similar proportions.

The EQC would have been a compact SUV that offered seating for five. Its fully electric powertrain would have delivered quiet performance, along with the crisp acceleration that’s part of the package with many luxury EVs. Its cabin looked appropriately deluxe, with high-gloss plastics, attractive textiles, and modern design. Overall, the EQC’s blend of Mercedes-Benz opulence and eco-friendly electrification would have made it an attractive pick for green-minded luxury-SUV buyers.

With its surprising range and innovative driver assistance features, it represents a whole new way to drive electric. Two electric motors power the EQC. Distributed between each axle, they develop up to 300 kW of power and 765 Nm of torque. In terms of performance, the Mercedes EQC reaches a top speed of 180 km/h and 0-100 km/h in 5.1 seconds. As expected, the EQC would have come with an up-to-date selection of tech features. SiriusXM satellite radio and a Burmester sound system were going to be standard. The cabin would have offered two 25cm screens; one for the instrument cluster and one for the infotainment system.
