The Volkswagen ID.6 is a three-row electric crossover produced by the German automobile manufacturer Volkswagen in China from 2021. It is based on the MEB platform, and part of the ID. Series electric vehicle line-up.
The ID.6 will be offered with a choice of two battery options straight from the MEB-platform lineup: 58.0 kWh and 77.0 kWh . The smaller battery will be offered only in a rear-wheel-drive configuration, while those who opt for the larger battery will have a choice of rear- or all-wheel-drive. The base version is equipped with a single electric motor powering the rear wheels capable of 177 hp ,with a claimed 0–100 km/h figure of 9.3 seconds or an option of 201 hp with a 0–100 km/h figure of 9.1 seconds. The dual-motor model is capable of 302 hp (225 kW) with 6.6 seconds needed to reach 100 km/h with a top speed of 160 km/h. It is said to provide up to 580 km of driving range per charge
Among other things, the ID.6 will offer seating for seven and a 30.0-cm infotainment touchscreen replacing many buttons, as well as a panoramic glass roof. Despite the sport utility bodystyle and all-wheel drive, the ID.6 will be aimed pretty squarely at on-road use, with a choice of 48- and 53-cm wheels.
