A blazing return from the Hummer, with a pickup truck and soon an SUV, GM plans to expand these models to smaller, more affordable ones for Europe.
In 2009, General Motors went bankrupt, they had to stop their Hummer brand to get help from the US government. In 2022, the GMC Hummer EV landed. This big and powerful «super truck» is the symbol of the transformation of GM towards the electric car. In just a few months, this car attracts a lot of flattery and likes on social networks and General Motors intends to take advantage of it.
The Hummer comeback in Europe
A model between 4.80 and 5 metres long is planned for Europe. Mid-size, this smaller model will have the same style as the Hummer EV and similar off-track capabilities. This car will compete with the Ford Bronco Lightning or the Jeep Recon. Slightly smaller, this vehicle will be more enjoyable in Europe than these rivals.
No projects have been officially announced by General Motors. But the Cadillac, Brightdrop, Hummer, and Corvette might be getting electric versions.
