Driving an electric vehicle has other advantages, fuel efficiency being the most important. Regarding maintenance, electric models have fewer parts than combustion engine models. The maintenance costs are therefore generally divided by two. For hybrid models, their maintenance remains equal to that of a gasoline model. Hyundai is a leader in automotive electrification, thanks to its powerful technologies.

For several years, Hyundai has been committed to the environment, with a goal of achieving carbon neutrality in its products and operations worldwide by 2045.

The company is embracing renewable energy and is also looking to future technologies by investing in solutions like green hydrogen.

Hyundai’s commitment to green has made it one of the leaders in the electric car market. The company offers one of the broadest ranges of electrified vehicles on the market: 100% electric vehicles, 48V hybrids, plug-in hybrids and hydrogen.

Hyundai offers 100% electric vehicles that are both efficient and fun to drive, such as the KONA and IONIQ 5 SUVs, which are fuel-efficient and produce zero CO2 emissions. The group’s electric vehicles are technologically advanced because they have a long range: from 289 to 484 km for city driving with a KONA Electric.

The criterion that can discourage people from adopting or using more electric vehicles is, of course, recharging. Among the obstacles, the fear of finding charging stations with difficulty or that their subscriptions are too high and do not correspond to their consumption. To address this issue, Hyundai has partnered with IONITY. This high-powered recharging network is very extensive in Europe and is compatible with most electric vehicles. It has about 400 stations in Europe and plans to add many more. Their stations are powerful, delivering up to 350kW of power, allowing for fast charging of electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles. Hyundai plans to follow through on its ambitions for 2022 by improving its technologies and strengthening its position in the electrification market, especially with the arrival of its IONIQ 6 sedan.
