Volkswagen presents the new range of the restyled ID.3, with Pro Performance and Pro S versions that offer a lower base price compared to the “First” launch versions.
Both versions share a rear-mounted 150 kW (204 hp) motor, with a maximum torque of 240 Nm for the Pro Performance and 310 Nm for the Pro S.
The Pro Performance is equipped with a 58 kWh battery, offering a mixed WLTP range of 427 km, while the Pro S has a 77 kWh battery, offering a range of 557 km.
Both versions offer AC charging up to 11 kW and DC fast charging up to 120 kW for the Pro Performance and 170 kW for the Pro S (35 kW more than the previous version).
Standard features and equipment include the Life Plus trim, with 18-inch wheels, a 12-inch touchscreen, keyless access and start, a rearview camera, and front/rear parking sensors.
The Style trim adds 19-inch wheels, Matrix LED headlights, navigation, heated front seats and steering wheel, and smartphone wireless charging. The Style Exclusive trim includes semi-autonomous Travel Assist, 360-degree vision, panoramic sunroof, electric and massage front seats, augmented reality head-up display, and DCC chassis control.
With this new comprehensive range, the starting price of the ID.3 drops to €42,990, a reduction of over €3,000 compared to the previous Active version.
However, the equipment of the new base version is lighter than that of the previous Active version, although still generous.
Nevertheless, Volkswagen has made an effort, as the Style Exclusive trim is offered at a similar price to the Active, but with more generous equipment. All Pro Performance versions are eligible for a €5,000 bonus, while no Pro S version is eligible.
