Nio : higher sales than we think but it’s still not glorious

Nio’s president, Qin Lihong, said the brand’s sales in Europe are underestimated. According to him, the 832 units sold in the first half are actually 3 to 4 times higher.

But even with these higher figures, Nio’s sales in Europe are still far from glorious.

Lihong admitted that the manufacturer underestimated the difficulties encountered in installing its battery exchange network in Europe.

He also said Nio will revise its strategy for launching new markets, first building its battery exchange network before selling its vehicles.

It is still too early to say whether Nio will succeed in winning in Europe. But for now, things are not going as planned.
