The Honda e, presented in 2017 as a revolutionary electric car, was ultimately a bitter failure. After just four years on the market, it is being discontinued.
The Honda e was a small electric city car with a retro design and cutting-edge technology. It was equipped with cameras instead of mirrors and six screens in the cabin.
Despite its qualities, the Honda e was a victim of its high price, limited range, and fierce competition. In Europe, it never exceeded 4,000 sales per year.
Honda has therefore decided to stop production of the Honda e. The Japanese brand is now focusing on the e:nY1 SUV, which is more affordable and versatile.
