The Chinese brand Nio, already present in Norway, will soon arrive in Germany with its electric sedan ET7.
After conquering the Norwegian market, Nio now wants to conquer Germany. The manufacturer has announced that it will launch the ET7 in Germany at the end of 2022.
The ET7 is a high-end electric sedan that competes with the Tesla Model S. It is equipped with a 650-horsepower motor and a 150-kWh battery that gives it a range of 1,000 kilometers.
Nio does not plan to establish itself in Germany in the same way as it did in Norway. In Norway, Nio started by offering its electric SUV ES8. In Germany, the manufacturer will directly launch its flagship sedan, the ET7.
To prepare for its arrival on the European market, Nio has recruited Alex Schwarz, a former employee of Airbnb, PayPal, and eBay. Schwarz could eventually decide to build a factory in Europe, depending on the success of the brand.
