With its small city car, Wuling has conquered the Chinese market for electric cars at very low prices. With 426,484 Wuling Hongguang Mini EV were sold in China last year. This makes it one of the best-selling electric cars in the world along with the Tesla Mnufacturer does not mention the Latvian version of the Hongguang Mini EV, the Freze Nikrob. Model 3, in two very different segments. Size is not the major difference between the two stars of the electric market. It’s the price that makes the Wuling really stand out. Wuling have the goals to reach one million sales by 2023.
For a long time, the Hongguang minivan was the best-selling car in China, with prices around €7,000. This is an advantage that the manufacturer is obviously planning to use to expand. After having sold almost 500,000 units in 2021, the brand is aiming for one million units sold by 2023. This will be done in China, but also with the expansion of its international sales. Southeast Asia (ASEAN) is the main target, as the brand is already enjoying success with its SUVs and MPVs in Indonesia. The various countries in this economic union all have plans to electrify their markets and industries.
Europe will probably follow, but certainly not before 2024 or 2025.
For the time being, the manufacturer does not mention the Latvian version of the Hongguang Mini EV, the Freze Nikrob.
