EDF returns to fast charging with Izivia Express

In its press release, Izivia Express indicates that it has already identified 75 sites for which deployment has already begun. These are mainly shopping center parking lots (Intermarché and Leclerc, among others), but also 45 Norauto centers.

Each station will have six recharging points, but there is still some uncertainty about the standards proposed. Indeed, Izivia says it wants to cover “all types of vehicles”, which could be excellent news for the few users of CHAdeMO or AC43 kW standards, who are finding it increasingly difficult to find compatible charging stations since energy suppliers are no longer obliged to offer them.

As for pricing, Izivia announces prices ranging from 0.40 to 0.55 euros per kWh. Finally, unlike the Corri-Door stations of yesteryear, payment should no longer be a hassle. Indeed, the user should be able to pay with several types of competing badges, his smartphone application or with a bank card.

Although Izivia has not always left a lasting impression on its users, the return to the forefront of the EDF subsidiary could be good news for electric vehicle users who are worried about the slow growth in the number of fast charging stations.
